The USA boasts a large percentage of the best roads on this Earth. You only have to mention route 66 to conjure up some vivid images in anyone’s mind but there are loads of other great roads also.There are some high quality roads running both east to west and north to south, so getting where you want to go is relatively easy. But what is the best form of transport for youradventure holidays in America?

Camper van. In true back-packer fashion you can pick a cheap campervan at one end of the country and trek across the states in until you sell it at the other end. Because of the extra room you will have, this vehicle is ideal if your vacating in America in a bigger group. Its also pretty good if your budget isn’t massive as you’ve always got a bed to kip in and you can even prepare your own food

Convertible. Driving along with the fresh air blowing around you and the sun beaming down is an image as iconic as the statue of liberty. The convertible car is a vehicle that is synonymous with American transport and there is a massive choice of pick from.The older convertibles have more character but are maybe not as reliable. You might also want to consider renting one. This is what a lot of people do on their fly drive vacations  All you need now is a model  girlfriend/boyfriend and some country and western on the radio to make your trip complete

Motorbike. If you really want to have some fun in the USA, get yourself a nice big bike and some big sunglasses. This truly is the ultimate way to travel across the states and experience all that the American scenery and culture has to offer. Harley Davidson are top dog in the States and a great choice of bike to go for. They can be rented almost anywhere you go and are very reliable. If you don’t want to spend you’re whole trip in the hospital, ride carefully and kit yourself out with some high quality safety gear, including a helmet
