Is surviving 2012 a part of your agenda? According to the many scientists and other various groups, the prophecies that are predicting the end of the world as we know it are very real. Doomsday predictions are as old as time itself but there are some undeniable facts that need to be taken seriously if any of us have any hope of surviving 2012. Several groups seem to agree that December 21, 2012 is the day that our world will end, the Mayans were the first to choose this particular date. Considered to be an extremely intelligent race, their calendar predicts this date to be the Doomsday we have all been dreading.

And today, World Food Day is being celebrated across the globe. Rev. David Beckmann, the President of Bread for the World, recounts some important events with hunger and poverty. He relates that in 1980, 17 cents per aid from developing nation is allocated for farmers living in poverty and for developing agriculture industry around the world.

The media has had a field day with this. Websites like TMZ.com and HuffingtonPost.com are blogging on it daily, sometimes several times a day. Once the media gets ahold of something watch out. The other day I was in line at the grocery store, and to my horror, there was Tiger Woods on the cover of National Enquirer! I would never have thought I’d see the day that would happen.

What about the state of golf now? How will this impact the PGA Tour? I would not be surprised if Tiger pulls out of the ‘10 season completely. What would that do to golf? I can tell you, I wouldn’t be near as interested, and would probably not watch it at all accept for the Majors.

This affair, voice mail and women coming out of the closet will affect millions of people (and kids) who idolized Tiger Woods. If my son was a bigtime golfer, and liked Tiger, I would sit him down and have a little discussion as to principles and ethics. Wouldn’t you?

You can’t take away what Tiger has done on the golf course, but he has now forever tarnished his image to the media and his fans. And, what about Elin, his wife? I hear rumors that the prenup is quickly getting revised to give her more money (and earlier). Wow! This is crazy stuff in the world of Golf isn’t it?
