Brean is situated in Burnham on Sea in England. Currently there is a construction of swimming pool and cinema going on in Brean Leisure Park which is worth about £3million. This will definitely be one of the most expensive swimming pools in the UK. There will also be a 4D cinema built near the pool but not sure if they will be using the money out of the £3million.

 

The project got underway this March and they are saying the swimming pool will be launched in Easter 2011. Richard House, the Leisure Park owner has told the local newspaper that the pool will be 25 metre long with 6 lanes and will include new changing rooms. It will be open in winter as well as summer for schools, colleges and groups. In my opinion it is a good idea to keep it open all year long. They will also create splash pad for youngsters along with water play area for older children. The existing indoor swimming pool will be changed to 4D cinema, new cafe, changing rooms and a fitness suite.

 

I am already looking forward to this 25 metre swimming pool. My only concern is how would they keep maintaining this massive pool, only because I am a clean freak? Pool cleaners will have a tough task in their hands when they receive the job to clean this pool. They will need to spend quite a bit on maintaining pool in swimming pool equipments and swimming pool heaters , I am sure the cost will be huge as they would like to open it in winter as well. They are also planning to get automatic pool cleaners to clean the water in regular basis which I think will be an useful addition to the equipment.

 

Recently Mr House was quote saying he is happy with the progress of the new pool and the current existing outdoor and indoor pools will remain open till the new pool is opened next year.
